Andrea Yakel

Dr. Andrea Yakel is a veterinarian with a passion for helping pets live healthier, happier lives. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences from Oklahoma State University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Oklahoma State University in 2013.

Throughout her career, Dr. Yakel has worked in a variety of veterinary settings, from general practice to leadership and mentorship roles within larger veterinary organizations. While she enjoys all aspects of companion animal medicine, she has a special interest in dentistry and has pursued additional training in veterinary dental procedures, dental radiography, anesthesia, and patient care. She enjoys the combination of technical skill, problem-solving, and patient advocacy that dentistry provides and loves helping pets return to a pain-free, comfortable life.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yakel stays busy with her two young children and a lively crew of pets, including Eiffel, her French Bulldog; Schmidt, her Siamese cat; and Boomie, a three-legged rescue kitten who keeps everyone on their toes. When she's not caring for animals, you'll often find her with a good book in hand, working on a creative project, or running her boutique crafting business, where she designs unique handmade apparel, accessories, and drinkware.

Dr. Yakel believes that veterinary medicine is a lifelong pursuit of learning and growth. She enjoys the challenge of solving complex cases, refining her skills through continuing education, and finding practical solutions that improve the quality of life for her patients. Her goal is simple: to provide thoughtful, highquality care that helps pets feel their best and allows families to enjoy more happy years together.
